Jennifer’s Bio
Quercus Consulting Principal, Jennifer Browning earned a BS in ecology from the University of Illinois. After graduating she worked for the Chicago Academy of Sciences, and later was hired by the City of Chicago to run the North Park Village Nature Center. During her tenure as director the improvement and expansion at the nature center was remarkable. Visitorship more than tripled, the number of volunteers grew to over 125 active members, a natural areas restoration plan was developed and money was raised to implement it, and there were waiting lists for every education program offered from camp to family programs to school field trips. Following this success she launched Quercus Consulting and over the last decade has built an exceptional reputation for dependable, affordable, high quality work in the field of environmental education and communication

Jennifer helped found the Chicago Wilderness Education Team, and is now an active member of the Chicago Wilderness Corporate Council.

Today Jennifer lives in Chicago with her husband, three children, two dogs, two cats, two saltwater fish tanks, and one large koi pond. She is an avid gardener, bird watcher, hiker, and when she finds the time, she loves to read.
