Quercus Consulting has a long history with the Chicago Center for Green Technology (CCGT), the nation’s third LEED Platinum facility and the first existing building to earn that distinction. In 2002 Quercus Consulting developed the museum-quality educational exhibits throughout the building and grounds, and a self-guided tour brochure. From 2001-2007 Grace Rink (then with the Chicago Department of Environment) developed and managed the highly acclaimed Green Tech U program which offered hundreds of free seminars and events reaching thousands of visitors each year. From 2012-2013, Quercus explored growth opportunities for CCGT on a team with WRD Environmental and the Delta Institute. The plan called for prioritizing facility upgrades, adding partnerships, and seeking non-City sources of funding to make CCGT financially sustainable. Unfortunately, due to reduced City funding, CCGT ceased operations in 2014.
