Quercus Consulting served as the LEED AP managing the LEED certification process for this project, the first new boat marina built in Chicago in 50 years. Rather than limit the project boundary only to the new harbor services building, the Chicago Park District decided to have the entire site achieve LEED Gold, including new park land, prairie, and beach. Quercus was a sub-contractor to AECOM on this project, and worked closely with staff from the Park District as well as with the project management team from the Public Building Commission of Chicago.
