The State Farm Center is the home of Illini Basketball at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign, formerly known as Assembly Hall. This is an important historic building undergoing a massive renovation and attempting LEED Gold. Quercus Consulting is serving as the project’s LEED AP to manage the certification process. In this capacity the firm led the development of the project’s sustainability goals during schematic design and the integration of those goals throughout the design development process. Construction is underway on this two-year phased project, and Quercus is working with multiple contractors to ensure that the goals are implemented correctly. Final submittal to the Green Building Certification Institute is expected in late 2016.
